Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) once again opens its doors to everyone with its Pasinaya 2013 open-house festival. Happening on February 3, 2013 from 8AM to 7PM, this most-awaited Pasinaya festival promises to be louder and even more colorful as it celebrates the Filipino-Chinese or "Tsinoy" culture. For a minimal entrance fee (well, not really an entrance fee but rather a donation of any amount), guests can have an all-access pass to all the shows in Pasinaya happening simultaneously within and outside the CCP premises. It's this pay-what-you-can, see-all-you-can event wherein CCP brings art closer to the lives of every Filipino.
We were able to catch 2012's Pasinaya, and it was really easy to have a culture overload at the event. There were just so many things happening all around! From sun up to sun down, from the performing halls to the street shows, the whole event's truly a feast for the senses.
But what makes this year's Pasinaya even more special is the Photo Contest! And here's the fun part!
Whether you have a DSLR or a camera phone, you can make your artsy mark at Pasinaya 2013, and cherish your experience on print. Read more about the Pasinaya 2013 here, and then check out the contest guidelines here. Winners will get CCP merchandise, some goods from sponsors, and a whole lot of bragging rights. :P (Well, let's just say art is the reward in itself. Hihi!)
CCP's catchphrase says, "Diba mas masaya kapag may art sa buhay?" We'd like to believe so. Get your camera ready and soak up on all the art you can get at the Pasinaya 2013!
*Revised notes on the guidelines from CCP:
Professional photographers who have an exclusive contract with specific publications or daily newspapers are not allowed to join due to provisions no. 4 and 6 below.
